IT'S TOY DRIVE SEASON 🎉🎅
For those who don't know, my company organizes a Christmas toy drive every year. We are so excited to be able to make this happen for the 2nd year in a row and hope we can continue it for many years to come. I have had a lot of people reach out to me with similar questions regarding the drive, so I wanted to put all the answers in one place for everyone 😊. What made you want to organize a toy drive?
This is probably the question I get asked the most. Honestly, 2020 was ROUGH, you were there 👀, you remember! It was a mess! Last year, along with most of the world, I was a wreck. It felt like each day was filled with more tragedy and anxiety than the last. The doom and gloom was overwhelming, and with the holidays quickly approaching I knew I had to do something to spread some cheer. With the help of God, our community, friends and family, I knew (most days 😅) that we could make something incredible happen. Our goal was (and still is) to help take some of the holiday stress off of as many families in need in our community as we can. After completing the drive last year, I knew it was something I had to continue to do. It’s truly been a life-changing experience. Does your company make money off of Santa's Workshop Toy Drive?
Absolutely NOT. In the event that a child/family is not adopted at the end of fundraising my company adopts them. The goal is to shine a light in the lives of those struggling.
Is registration/gift pick-up private?
Yes! No family information is shared with anyone outside of our organization/donors. All family pick up's are scheduled in 30 minute windows to allow families time with Santa and privacy to pick up their gifts.
Do you guys only provide toys?
Good question! No, despite the drive name we collect/distribute more than toys. Most registered families request clothes for their children, and household goods, the toys are just a bonus. Are donations tax deductible?
